Thinking of entertainment ideas can be a challenge, especially when there is so many other things to think about. You may feel overwhelmed by the pressure of entertaining if you are a natural host - you fear anyone getting bored and there being 2 hours of stagnant energy on your wedding day. Don’t worry, this is where I come in. I have the exact same fear so I’m here for those of you that have this fear and want your wedding day to be fun and exciting the whole day through. So listen up, get your notepads out and get ready for my revolutionary entertainment ideas for your guests.
A scavenger hunt to find the bride and groom’s party shoes
a great way to keep excitement flowing all day. The anticipation of whether the shoes have been found will be the highlight/talking point of the day. Write clues, place them around the venue and have guests find the clues throughout the day. Add a time limit for more excitement, if they don’t find the shoes by the time the cake is cut all guests have to do a cosequence (bring out the tequila shots!).
Polaroid Bingo
An awesome game for your guests to play in their own time. Create a bingo card with all the things you want your guests to capture. If you want your guests to mingle with each other have it be a team game - 1 Polaroid camera per table, a couple bingo cards on each and boom, you’ve got yourself the perfect team game. Not to mention you’ll have so many keep sake moments of your guests perspective of your wedding day.

Board Games
Thinking you’ll have a couple quiet hours while your venue turns a room around? Whip out a few great board games to keep the fun flowing. A few of my favourites that don’t take long to set up include: 5 Second Rule - travel edition, Cards Against Humanity, UNO, Herd Mentality and Jenga. Quick set up, simply to play and amazing for those quiet hours whilst drinks are flowing.
Personalised Paint By Numbers Guest Book
a unique way to create your own guest book that completely breaks the mold of tradition. Whether you find an Etsy seller to create a simple paint by numbers of you and your hubby, or you create one yourself. Your guests will love this one throughout the entire day. just as long as it isn’t too complicated. Once it’s complete, have your guests sign their name on the biggest section that they painted, Volia!
Welly Wanging
This one really takes us back to our childhood sport days. This nostalgic game will have your guests laughing for hours about the way your uncle bob flung his welly. The perfect party game for your sunny, summer wedding to break the traditional garden games that everyone seems to want nowadays. Just remember to ask all your guests to bring their wellies!
Musical Chairs
Where are my party people at? - keep the dance floor moving and grooving during the moments that the dance floor is dead. Pull up a couple chairs, have your DJ start and stop the music and bosh, you’ve got yourself a fabulous party game for those moments where everyone is too drunk to care about what they’re doing. If you want to make it really interesting, have an amazing prize ready for the winner.
Beer Pong
I think we all know how beer pong works, but in case you don’t here you go. Buy a cheap ping pong table, red plastic cups and some ping pong balls. Set up 10 red cups on each end of the table, pour a little beer into each and gather yourself some guests who have good aim and can hold there drink. This could get messy! - FYI this is a super simplified version.

Guess The Guests
Another simple and super funny table game just for you. Very similar to the classic board game guess who but a real life version. Put a few baby photos of your guests on each table with a few peices of info about them attached and booyah you’ve got yourself the perfect guessing game to stir up some halarious conversations.
And that is my revolutionary list of entertainment ideas for you to emmerse in. They’re untraditional, unique and quirky…So if your wedding is anything like that - I’m certain that these ideas are perfect for you. These ideas are all my own and what I’d want at my own wedding, so please chop, change and twist them all you like! Thank you for reading and happy planning!
Yours Kindly,
Amy X
